Don't Let Go
In 1990, Jeff Lynne (Electric Light Orchestra, Tom Petty, George Harrison, The Beatles, The Traveling Wilburys) released a solo album called "Armchair Theatre". The record is full of great Lynne production stylings and Beatle-y songs, as with so much of his other work. This recording is my first stab at emulating Jeff's sound. I played the record for Doug Plavin on a recent road trip, and he fell head over heals for it. We (along with Rob Lee who added some great saxophone playing) put this song together over the past couple of months. It was written by Jesse Stone, and the original recording was by Roy Hamilton in 1958 (I think). Lynne covered it on "Armchair Theatre". I might keep working on the mix, but it was time to release it back into the wild.
